DISTINCTIVE FURNITURE

Sculptural furniture and bespoke pieces, made to order for interiors in Qatar.

Distinctive furniture by Prime Interiors

Prime Interiors is the acquired luxury furniture brand within Sheen Interiors, retaining its own design identity. Its made-to-order pieces bring sculptural form, considered proportions and material combinations to interiors in Qatar.

The range includes coffee tables, side tables, console tables and dining tables, along with plinths, serving tables, cabinets, sideboards and fireplaces.

Prime develops its own designs and accommodates customer references. Premium materials and specialist workmanship serve the finished piece, from its overall composition to the way individual components meet.

Sculptural form and considered proportions

Substantial volumes, curves and angular compositions give Prime furniture its presence. A broad body beside a slender component creates a different balance from a piece whose elements have similar proportions.

The overall footprint and visual weight are different considerations. A statement piece needs space for its outline to be understood, while its height should relate to the furniture around it. Views from the entrance, from a seated position and from the side can each reveal a different part of the composition.

Materials composed as one piece

Prime works with solid wood, solid marble and other natural stone, alongside metalwork, glass and mirror components. A design may draw its character from one material or from the relationship between several.

Wood grain and stone markings introduce natural variation. Metal can form a contrasting frame or accent, while glass and mirror introduce transparency or reflection. A narrow accent plays a different role from a material that defines the main body.

Natural markings vary between pieces; a photograph does not guarantee an identical pattern.

Shaping stone and bringing components together

Prime uses advanced machining and carving to shape solid marble and natural stone into furniture forms. The work develops the contours, recesses and transitions that give a stone component its three-dimensional shape. A curved profile needs to remain coherent as it turns around the piece; an angular composition depends on how its planes meet.

Where a design combines materials, workmanship also concerns their meeting points: the relationship of a top to its base, the alignment of an inset component or the transition between a broad surface and a finer edge.

Finishes and the character of a piece

A finish changes how a material catches light and how strongly it contrasts with the components around it. Prime selects finishes in relation to the design.

Metal: surface and colour

Brushed metal has a directional surface character; mirror-polished metal produces stronger reflections. PVD coatings provide another decorative choice. The coating and the underlying surface finish are related decisions, so colour alone does not describe the complete appearance.

Stone, wood and painted surfaces

Polished stone brings a reflective sheen, while honed stone gives a softer, less reflective appearance. Polished wood brings grain and sheen into the composition, while a painted surface can give the chosen colour greater prominence. The selected treatment should work with its form and material combination; available choices depend on the design.

A furniture brief can begin with a Prime design or with references supplied by the customer. A reference is most useful when it identifies what matters: the overall form, a particular proportion, a material combination or the way a piece relates to its setting.

The intended use and available space help establish which aspects should carry into the proposed piece. Dimensions, materials and finishes need to work together, with the feasible scope and final specification agreed for that design.

For an adaptation of an existing product, Tailored Living explains the customization route. Use Consult to Expert on the product page before ordering a change to its standard specification. Any agreed customization receives a separate offer; a standard order follows the listed product specification.
