Sheen Studio leads interior design and project coordination within Sheen Interiors. Its work connects interior concepts and furniture planning with material specification, specialist fabrication and installation.
Studio develops the design direction and brings the relevant expertise together around it, with responsibilities defined by the agreed scope. Sheen Interiors LLC is the contracting business.
From design direction to an integrated interior
An interior brings together spatial arrangement, furniture, fitted elements and materials. Studio leads the design decisions that connect them, then coordinates the specialist contributions needed to carry the agreed direction into the finished work.
Design direction
The design establishes how the space should work and feel. Arrangement, proportion and material choices give furniture and fitted elements a shared direction.
Specification and specialist integration
Specialist knowledge informs the specification: how a material can be shaped, how a piece is supported and how adjoining elements meet. These decisions connect design intent with fabrication.
Installation integration
Site dimensions, access and the sequence of adjoining work inform preparation for installation. Studio coordinates these interfaces within its agreed responsibilities.
Developing the interior direction
The interior direction starts with what needs to work better and what is worth retaining. A room used for quiet conversation calls for different furniture relationships from one that must accommodate movement between several activities. Existing openings, fixed features and the pieces you want to keep help shape the arrangement.
Furniture planning connects individual pieces to that arrangement: their scale, position and relationship to fitted elements matter alongside their appearance. Material and finish choices bring these parts together. References are most useful when you explain what appeals to you, whether that is a proportion, a texture or the way a space is used.
Working with the Sheen houses
The Sheen houses bring specialist knowledge into the design as well as the making. Timber construction, stone detailing and upholstered furniture each call for different decisions about proportion, support and finish. Studio integrates the relevant contributions into the interior specification.
Depending on the brief, this can include furniture and joinery from Sheen Carving, stone furniture and surfaces from Sheen Sculpture, or upholstered pieces from Sheen Living. Completed in October 2023 at Al Fardan Burj Lusail, the With Vibes office fit-out combines CNC-carved Tufa branding, fitted storage and custom China Grey Marble furniture.
Custom reception and garment-display furniture produced and installed for HAYAS Boutique in Qatar, including a Carrara marble counter and bases with brushed stainless-steel rails.
