Custom mirrors, glass furniture and architectural glasswork
Sheen Mirrors is the specialist mirror and glass house within Sheen Interiors, creating made-to-order work for furniture and interiors in Qatar.
The house undertakes individual commissions and contributes specialist work to wider interiors led by Sheen Studio.

Custom mirrors: shape, proportion and placement
A mirror can serve an everyday viewing need, form a decorative feature, or do both. Its shape and proportions should follow that purpose: a tall composition gives a different view from a wide mirror arranged above furniture.
Custom shapes allow the outline to relate to the setting. Placement also determines what enters the reflection, so the surrounding room matters as much as the wall carrying the mirror. Consider the viewing position and nearby furniture when deciding the size and location.
Coloured mirrors add another appearance choice. Their tone belongs in the overall interior composition, alongside the shape and the surfaces reflected.
Glass furniture and surfaces
Sheen Mirrors makes glass furniture and custom surfaces, including tabletops, counters and shelves. The brief begins with what the piece needs to do: provide a working surface, hold a display or form part of a larger furniture composition.
Glass can reveal the base beneath a tabletop or keep objects visible through a shelf. Its relationship to wood, stone, metal or other adjoining materials therefore contributes to the appearance of the whole piece. A complete furniture item and a glass component for an existing piece call for different scopes of work.

Glass for jewellery and perfumery displays
For jewellery and perfumery displays, the glass forms part of how merchandise is presented and accessed. The arrangement needs to work from the customer's viewing position and for the person handling or replenishing the items.
The height and grouping of merchandise influence the display layout. Open shelves, counters and glass display cases also create different relationships between the products and the surrounding furniture. Access should be considered with that arrangement, rather than added after the display has been composed.
Sheen Mirrors develops the glass contribution around the agreed display brief, including its relationship to the cabinetry and other adjoining work.
Architectural glasswork
Storefronts, doors, windows, partitions and integrated panels each organise an opening or divide part of a space. The glasswork should respond to that role: maintaining a view through a partition is a different design task from composing the entrance to a shop.
Panel arrangement and framing establish the visible divisions. Their alignment with surrounding walls, furniture and other finishes affects how the installation reads as part of the interior. Larger compositions may involve several panels whose junctions need to be considered together.
The glass specification and fixing details depend on the opening and the adjoining construction.
Colour and decorative treatments
Tinted glass and coloured mirrors bring tone to the material's appearance. Glass staining and UV printing offer decorative treatment through colour, motifs or imagery. These choices should be distinguished when describing the effect you want.
An overall tint, a coloured reflection and a printed composition play different roles in a piece. A decorative treatment might become its focal point or form a quieter part of a larger arrangement. The treatment should relate to the surrounding finishes and to what is intended to remain visible through, or reflected in, the glass.
A useful reference identifies the desired colour effect and where the decoration belongs.
CNC shaping and engraving
Sheen Mirrors undertakes CNC shaping, patterned work and engraving on glass and mirror. Custom outlines define the form of a component; engraving introduces lines or detail within its surface.
Pattern scale and placement matter to the finished object. A motif needs to relate to the usable area, its border and any adjoining components. Where a pattern extends across several pieces, the alignment between them forms part of the fabrication brief.
Edges and finishing details
An exposed edge can remain visually restrained or become a decorative part of the piece. Its profile should relate to the glass or mirror, the surrounding frame and how the edge will appear in the finished application.
- Flat polished: a flat edge polished to a finished sheen.
- Pencil polished: a rounded, polished profile.
- Bevelled: an angled treatment that creates a visible border.
- Ogee: a decorative S-shaped profile.
Seaming or arrissing treats sharp edges; it is distinct from choosing a decorative polished profile. An arris may also accompany a polished edge.
Sheen Mirrors offers a broad choice of edge detailing. The suitable profile is selected for the particular glass specification and application, including whether the edge remains exposed or meets a frame.
Installation and integration
The receiving surface or supporting structure is part of the installation brief. Wall-mounted mirrors, furniture components and fitted glass panels need fixing arrangements appropriate to their material and setting.
Dimensions, access and the position of adjoining work affect how the piece can be brought into place. Coordination is especially useful where glass meets cabinetry, stone surfaces or an existing frame: those connections need to be resolved with the other parts of the work.
Installation and finishing are part of Sheen Mirrors' specialist scope.
